The project
For the 2026 edition, Caribbean Legacy was commissioned to produce the official event aftermovie.
Unlike many sporting events that focus on a single activity, Ride for the Roses brings together multiple disciplines on the same day, including cycling, running, walking and swimming. Each event attracts its own participants, supporters and atmosphere, while all contribute to the larger purpose of the day.
The challenge was to capture these different activities and audiences while maintaining a single story that reflected the energy, emotion and community spirit that defines Ride for the Roses.
Our approach
Our production focused on documenting the complete event experience rather than any individual activity. Throughout the day, our team captured participants across the various disciplines, alongside spectators, volunteers, sponsors and supporting activities that contribute to the event atmosphere.
By combining footage from the walks, runs, cycling routes and swimming events, we created a dynamic aftermovie that highlights both the scale of the event and the personal moments that make it meaningful. Particular attention was given to participant interactions, crowd engagement and the sense of unity that connects the different activities.
The final production delivers more than an event recap. It captures the spirit of Ride for the Roses and helps communicate the positive impact, community involvement and shared purpose that continue to make the event an important tradition on Curaçao.
